Residency & Internship Programs
Springfield Pottery offers an Artist in Residence & Internship program. This opportunity allows individuals to further their pursuits and development within the realm of the ceramic arts at a supportive studio while at the same time adding a wonderful addition of energy and perspective to the studio community.
Artist in Residence Program
Our Artist in Residence Program offers individuals an opportunity to create and explore new work in a fully furnished clay studio while developing professionally and personally in a community of individuals with a passion for clay and learning.
Internship Program
Our summer intern program offers individuals a short term, hands on experience working in a busy community clay center and fine craft gallery while also exploring their own directions in clay.
How to Apply
The directors of Springfield Pottery select all new residents and interns. Applicants are either invited outright by the directors, or are chosen from those applying. The selection process is based upon a compilation of the info provided by your application and an in person interview if possible.
If you would like to apply for a position as an artist in residence at Springfield Pottery, please download the current application and send it along with 10 slides of your current work, resume, artist statement, 2 letters of reference, and a letter of interest (telling us why you are applying and anything else you want us to know about you), and a self addressed stamped envelope for the return of your slides.
