Springfield Pottery is a ceramic educational center focused on teaching the fundamentals of working in clay to the community. Five eight week class sessions are offered each year with classes taking place throughout the week. Topics include functional pottery and handbuilding. All classes are open to ages 16 to 116 with no experience needed. Our annual Kid’s Camp is offered for one week during the summer for kids in grades 1 – 12.
Each class has a limited enrollment in order to give students a quality personal experience and the individual attention needed for success.

Cost is a bargain at $7.50/hour and there are many hours available during the week outside of class.
In addition to regularly scheduled classes, special topic workshops are given throughout the year. These topics range from making hand made pottery tools, firing your electric kiln, making mosaics, mold making, glaze chemistry, and more.
Also, Springfield Pottery periodically invites guest artists to give all day demonstration workshops.
