Camp Raku 2007
It's that time of year again!   Time for the ever popular session we call Camp Raku.   For the past eight years, we devote the summer adult class session topic to the exciting world of Raku and pit firing.   This class is suitable for first timers or diehards.   For seven weeks, all students come to the studio at their designated class time.   During the weekend of the eighth week, we all embark upon the camp Raku site for the firing event.   This is where we fire the pots in the ancient Japanese technique of Raku or load the pots into a barrel style organic pit firing.

Open Studio
Open studio is a special program available to students currently enrolled at Springfield Pottery.   Students can purchase additional time to work independently in the studio and get that extra practice time that they crave. Do you feel like once a week just isn't enough? Come in as often as you like and lose yourself in the clay. Cost is a bargain at $5/hour and there are many hours available during the week outside of class.

Workshops
In addition to regularly scheduled classes, special topic workshops are given throughout the year.   These topics range from making hand made pottery tools, firing your electric kiln, making mosaics, mold making, glaze chemistry, and more. Also, Springfield Pottery periodically invites guest artists to give all day demonstration workshops.
